Islamic Death Warrant for Bangladeshi Author

KOLKATA, 18 August 2007 - Muslim clerics in West Bengal yesterday issued a “death warrant” against Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen if she did not pack her bags and leave India.Who says Islam is not a tolerant religion?
“Anybody eliminating her would be given Rs. 100,000 and unlimited rewards if she does not leave the country immediately. She has insulted Islam and continued to create problems in this country,” Syed Noor-ur-Rehman Barkati, the shahi imam of Tipu Sultan Mosque in Kolkata, told IANS.
“We are forced to issue such a warrant because the government is not making use of the constitutional provisions and driving her out of the country,” Barkati said after a meeting of several Muslim clerics across India here. Nasreen was not available to react to the latest development.

Indian Hindus have a great problem with the muslims. They want land everywhere whether it be in Israel or in Kashmir. Hindus under the Indian Right Wing Party has always been supportive of Israel and will always be. I live in Canada btw.
