Iran To Arrest Men With "Western" Haircuts
The Iranian news website Etemaad reports that as of July 23, men with long or extravagantly styled hair will be arrested. They will be ordered to cut their hair and then report to the police; apparently for a check up.
Tehran Chief of Police Ahmad-Reza Radan;
"The streets belong to the sphere of society, not that of the individual. It's not possible for one to appear in society as one pleases."I recall reading statements similar to this that were issued in another country about 70 years ago.
Men caught wearing shorts or t-shirts with brands on them will also be arrested.
No indication has been given as to the punishment for non compliers and whether this new law will apply to visitors.

So what do Rosie O'Donnel and Elton John have to say about Iran's treatment of folks who are "different" in public? Anyone ever heard them criticize Iran? No? Oh, wait... they're too busy saying nasty things about America and Israel... guess they forgot to throw in a damn or two about the Islamofascistic World while they were at it...
